Show Royalty Named For Annual Miniature Parade Cedar Cltys royalty for the gigantic Independence Day celebration cele-bration was named at a special contest conducted by the Lady Lions Thursday evening at the Second Ward chapel. Royalty is picked from tour and five year old children of the community and hundreds of bright, shiny faces, were on hand for the contest. Named as king and queen for the 1958 Miniature parade, to be held on July 4 at 9 a. m., were Julie Olsen, four, and Kent Bladen, Blad-en, five. Attendants are Deborah Bunting and Dale Cowley, both five. The queen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Corry Olsen and the reigning king the son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Bladen. Mr. and i Mrs. Dex Cowley are the proud I parents of the king's attendant I and Miss Bunting's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Bunting. Parents were entertained during dur-ing the judging and Judges for the event represented other auxiliary aux-iliary and ladies organizations of the city including Jaycee-Ettes, Ladies of Elks and Kiwani-Anns. King and queen each received a miniature loving cup given by Mullett Jewelry and the attendants attend-ants each received rings. Ea'eh participant also received a favor at the contest. |
