Mrs. Hilma Lomoreaux I Mrs. IraS Jones was home from ' Panguitch Wednesday of last week and came home again Frl-day Frl-day evening when her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Orln Bell, of Bountiful brought her from I'angultch. Mrs. Jones has spent considerable time with her mother, Mrs. Eva Bell, who has been, ill all fall. Mrs. Edith Barton traveled to Panguitch Monday to sjend two weeks with her mother, Mrs. John Miller, who has been in poor health.- Mrs. Nellie Englestead and Mrs. Gwen Jones arrived home last week after being away for some time. They had been to Bountiful for Carla Keiffer's wedding, wed-ding, visited in Ogdcn and Salt Lake City and then traveled to Delta for the funeral service of a relative, Brent Skums. On Sunday Sun-day they received word of the death of another relative who passed away in Henderson. This made the fourth death in the Owens and Englestead families in two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lowe of Salt Lake City arrived here Sunday Sun-day to visit until after Christmas with Linda's people and with the Elmer Lowes in Parowan. I Bert Kobb had the mislortune to tall at his home Saturday and jsufiered a broken loot, lie was taKcn to the Volley View Medical Medi-cal Center in Cedar City for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman, Neil O'Brien and Frank Hoyt traveled to 1'ayson Friday to attend at-tend a reunion of all tne church builders in the state. Mrs. Reva Matheson, Mrs. Myrle Walker, Mrs. Ivy Skou-gaard Skou-gaard and members of their la-milies, la-milies, all of Cedar City, were in town Friday visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Kobinson. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund arrived ar-rived home Thursday from a lew days in Salt Lake City where they attended the funeral service for Hoene's niece, Mrs. Martha Kae. They also visited with relatives re-latives and triends. Eugene Boardman arrived here Saturday from BYU at Provo to spend the holidays with his people, peo-ple, the William Boardman family. fa-mily. Vergene Jones drove to Salt Lake City last week to bring his sister, Claudia, home for the holidays. hol-idays. Claudia has been attending attend-ing school at the University ol Utah and is here for a visit with the Blaine Jones family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Kobinson traveled north Thursday to take Irene to see specialists in Salt Dke City. They visited with their son, Elmo, and family In Orem before returning home Sunday. Sun-day. Billy Edwards is home from his navy duties to spend the holidays holi-days with his mother, Mrs. Olive Edwards and thcr relatives In the aiea. Mrs. Myrtle Abbott celebrated the anniversary of her birthday Sunday and family members Joined her for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rasmussen and family came from Parowan and the Myron Abbott family and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lister family joined the group. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hollingshead of Milford visited here Monday with the Jim Bettridge family. M r s. Bettridge accompanied tnem to Cedar City where they visited with family members. Mrs. Anna R. Williamson's children and all of her grandchildren grand-children except two, were present Monday for her funeral services. Absent were a grandson, Marvin Williamson, who is on a mission In Scotland, and Helen Abbott, who stayed In Provo to care for her Invalid father. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Sant and their seven children, Including a married daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sparks, came from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wlllamson and family, including daughter Lu Jean and her husband Lyman Duke and their small son, and mis. The sisters Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Golden and the latter's husband, Charles, were present. Also here were Mr. and Mrs. Horace Roun-dy, Roun-dy, Alton; Mrs. Glenna Cook, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Yardley, Beaver; Mrs. Velva Batty, Bat-ty, Cedar CUy; Mr. and Mrs. El-wood El-wood Bettridge, Mont Bettridge and Mrs. Sharlett Bundy, Beaver. |
