Show Sandra Knight, Homer' Pittard Speak Vows Miss Sandra Knight became the bride of Homer Anthony Pittard Pit-tard In nuptial rites solemnized Saturday, December 19, In the St. George LDS Temple. The double-ring double-ring ceremony was performed by President Rudgar C. Atkin. Parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Knight were among the many who witnessed the temple rites. Others accompanying accompany-ing the couple through the temple tem-ple were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petty, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith Bishop and Mrs. Conrad Hatch, Mr. and Mrs. Larell Knight, Mrs Ivan Davies, Mr. Eldon Lowder, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hall, Mr. Ottc Fife, Mr. Boyd Beagley and Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Smith. Following the ceremony, the wedding party honored the new-lyweds new-lyweds at a dinner held at the Home Spun In Leeds. Joining with the group for the occasion were Mr. Frednc Mason, uncle of the bridegroom and Miss Lula Pittard, the bridegroom's sister of Phoenix, Ariz. Another sister, Miss Charlotte Pittard, also met with the guests at the Home Spun. A reception was held Saturday night at the Cedar City LDS Institute In-stitute of Religion. The bride greeted guests in 3 beautiful gown which she designed herself. her-self. The dress, made by Vird Barney, was a satin brocade coat-"tyle coat-"tyle over white satin. It featured fea-tured lilly-point sleeves and a rolled collar which extended to the waist. A one-inch pill box brim of white velvet held the bridal veil of nylon tulle which fell to elbow length. Sandra held a nosegay of red roses and white streamers. In keeping with a color scheme of red and white with holly, the briesmaids wore red satin brocaded bro-caded dresses of princess style. The gowns were accented by long sleeves and round necklines. Each attendant held a hand bouquet bou-quet with holly and white carnations. car-nations. Serving the bride as maid of honor v.as Miss Sherril Williams. Bridesmaids were Charlotte Pittard, Lulla Bell Pittard, Pit-tard, Sandra Aplanapha, Alona Adams, DeAnn Matthews and Kathy Thompson. Best man was Leon Hall. Doug Knight and Mitchell Schoppman served as ushers. Standing in the wedding line with the bridegroom bride-groom were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petty. Mrs. Petty and the bride's mother were both adorned with corsages of white carnations. Greeting . guests., as . host and hostess during the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith. Guest book attendant was Miss Roma Melling assisted by Mrs. Barbara Thompson. Miss Artis Petty, Miss Gay Stucki, Miss Lynda Esplin, Miss Elaine Hatch and Miss Mel-lisa Mel-lisa Whitelaw served guests at card tables which were decorated decorat-ed with white cloths and centered with compotes holding white white bells. Music during the nuptial party was furnished by Miss Nancy Clair Johnson at the piano. Gift room attendants were Dana Hunter Hun-ter and Janet Sevy. Gift bearers were Rodney Knight, Frankie Pet-ty Pet-ty and Todd Bennett. Catering was done by Wanda Cox. Assisting Mrs. Cox in the kitchen were Eva Dean Stokes, Pearl Bennett and Hazel Davies. The newlyweds are honeymooning honey-mooning In California and Arizona. Ariz-ona. They will return Christmas Eve to spend the holidays then plan to make their home In Logan Lo-gan where they will attend the Utah State University. |
