Show Cedar High School students spend part of the time jeach day studying independently. This study activity takes place in carrels or independent study stations as shown in the accompanying photograph. These carrels provide a suitable place to study by giving the students semi-visual privacy and a quiet place to work. In English, students spend about three-fifth of their time in independent independ-ent study. The rest of the time they are receiving instruction instruc-tion from the teacher individually and in small groups of ten to 15 students. Students also spend some time in inde-pendent inde-pendent study in social science, physical science and mathematics. |
