Show Couple Recite Vows In Marriage Ceremony In Salt Lake LDS Temple rites Friday, December 18, Miss Trudy Knell and Mr. Larry Arden Johnson John-son were united in marriage. The double-ring ceremony was performed per-formed by Elder Harold B. Lee, Council of the Twelve. j Accompanying the pair to the temple were their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Knell, Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. L. Arden John-; son of Moab, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. ' Douglas Knell and Mr. and Mrs. i Bruce Knell also were among the wedding party. The bridegroom's parents were host and hostess at a wedding dinner at Harmon's restaurant! following the ceremony. Further honorolng the newly-weds newly-weds were the bride's parents who held a reception for them Saturday, December 19, at the Knell home in Cedar City. The home carried out a Christmas theme with a color scheme of red and white. Tinkling bells playing play-ing Christmas carols and extensive exten-sive outside lighting added to the festive atmosphere. The bridal bri-dal line stood in front o! a room lengta window coverrd with lustrous lus-trous egg-shell drapr.-s. The corner cor-ner of the living room was set with a silver Christmas tree decorated de-corated with tiny red lights and chenelle polnsettas. Large flower arrangements of red roses adorned adorn-ed the piano and serving room which looked on the patio and a white flocked tree with red satin balls and lights. At the reception the bride wore a dress of pole de soir designed In the new empire waist coat look. The scooped neck line of the gown was accented by imported im-ported Alencon lace with clusters of faerie pearls and sequins which underlined the empire coat bodice. The "A" line skirt of the gown formed a full chapel train. Her shoulder length illusion veil was caught to a satin pill box hat designed with dew drop pearls. Her bridal bouquet was of cresent design featuring Rome roses surrounding a white orchid. Attending the bride were Mrs. Clifford Craig, matron of honor; Miss Linda Mortensen, maid of honor; Miss Becky Anderson, Mrs. Brent Foulger, Mrs. Kirtley Madsen and Miss Linda Macfar-lane Macfar-lane were bridesmaids. Colleen Johnson and Carolyn Johnson were Junior bridesmaids and Lauri Jean Knell, Leilani Jean Knell and Joanne Knell served as flower girls. The bridesmaids' dresses were gently belled floor length dresses styled from red velveteen. The empire waist de- J - (?( v h ii J MR. AND MRS. LARRY ARDEN JOHNSON sign of the costumes were centered cen-tered with red velvet bows and floor-length streamers. Junior bridesmaids and flower girl dresses dres-ses were also of red elveteen and followed the same design only In knee-length. Each attendant at-tendant held a white fur muff accented ac-cented with sprigs of holly and garnet roses. Best man for the occasion was Jay Wendell Johnson, brother of the bridegroom. Ushering were Jon Anderson, Bruce Knell, Douglas Doug-las Knell and Hyrum Tatton with Stephen Knell as a Junior Usher. During the reception, Mrs. Bert Carpenter served as a kitchen hostess. She was assisted by Mrs. Claudia Macfarlane. Mrs. Loren Hlrschi and Mrs. Milt Sevy. Serving Serv-ing girls were Kathryn Seaman Norma Jean Randall, Laureen Dalley. Ann Leigh and Susan and Kathy Bentley. Acting as host and hostess for the nuptial party were Dr. and Mrs. Paul Lunt. Guest book attendants at-tendants were Lynn Stewart and Cathy Lunt while gift room at- ienuams wcie Tiyii t-TICZ r. Ann Pryor. Organ music during Ihe evening eve-ning was furnishei by Mrs. Milton Mil-ton Hyatt. Mr. Bert Carpenter rendered several vocal solos. In the wedding line, mothers of the newlyweds assisted in greeting guests. Bath the bride and bridegroom's mother wore turquoise blue lace sheath dresses dress-es with over blouses. Glamelias corsages accented the dresses. Beforp departing for fcrnov-moon fcrnov-moon trip to southern California, the bride changed Into a white wool suit wth matching wool coat and mink collar. Accessories Accessor-ies were white kid gloves and bJack patent purse and shoes, The bride graduated from College Col-lege of Southern Utah with an CSU, she was active In music as a member of the Symphony orchestra. or-chestra. She was also affiliated with Phi Alpha Beta. She is currently cur-rently a senior at BYU. j Mr. Johnson attended College of Southern Utah and completed I an LDS North Central States mission. mis-sion. He will continue his studies at BYU.
