The three sisters of the bride were present, Mrs. Elsa Addis and husband, hus-band, Las Vegas; Mrs. Mary Ann Atkin and family, St. George, and Mrs. Evaline Bracken from Hoi brook, Ariz.; her brothers, Stanley and six children from Magna, Clyde and family, Albuquerque, Al-buquerque, N.M.; Clinton and family fa-mily from Cedar City and Allen who is attending CSU. Barlocker, Mrs. Katie Gentry and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L. Fore-master, Fore-master, Mrs. Montrue Larkin, St. George. Mr. Grant Anderson was present pre-sent from Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Deward L. Hall and family, Page, Ariz.; Mrs. Norma Lang-ford; Lang-ford; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Larkin, Provo; Mrs. Rema Truman, St. George- Mr. and Mrs. Jim Angell, rrem; Mrs. LaVerd Roberts, Salt Lake Ci?y and Joseph Holt from St. George also attended. Mrs. Jack Moyle, Jr., and new baby boy are home from the Dixie Dix-ie Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hunt and New Mexico where Mr. Hunt is attending school. The Hunts will spend the holidays with their folks, th" Ray V. Hunts in the valley and the Lyle Prince family at New Harmony. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bracken are home from Holbrook, Ariz., for the holidays, where Mr. Bracken Brac-ken is teaching school. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith will spend Christmas at Long Beach, Calif., with their daughter, Ruth, and family. j Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Metier have gone to Shatter, Calif., for the holidays. P. T. A. The Parent-Teacher Association Associa-tion of the Valley is sponsoring a New Year's Dance in the Community Com-munity Building on December 31 at 9:30. Everyone is invited. WOMEN'S CLUB The last Women's Club meeting meet-ing for the current year was held Thursday night, December 17, at ! the home of Mrs. Edith Force at Modena in the form of a Christmas Christ-mas Party. The out going offi-, offi-, cers for 1964 sponsored the party. They are as follows, Pat Moyle, i president; Alene Smith, vice pre-' pre-' sident; Edith Force, correspon-' correspon-' ding secretary; and Marion Wool-sey, Wool-sey, secretary and treasurer. The ' women enjoyed an evening of ' games and singing of Christmas 'carols with delicious refreshments refresh-ments served by the hostess. The women exchanged gifts as they passed them to each other in a circle to Christmas music. Door Prize was won by Edith Force. Crocheted clothes hangers were given by the hostess to each guest at the close of the evening. I UONS PARTY ' The Escalante Valley Lions Club held one of the more successful ' Christmas parties Friday, Dec. 11. ! An unusually large number of members, their wives and guests, enjoyed a delicious dinner. Dancing Danc-ing to the music of Herb Knell's orchestra followed. Guests for ' the occasion were Glen Halter-jman, Halter-jman, Parowan; Clayton Olds, Hurricane, and a few club members mem-bers from both clubs. i |
