Hunter, the late Nelson Marsden, and the present member of the board, Dr. K. W. Farnsworth. The striking note of accord that was shown at the meeting In t unanimous appeal for unity in the final phase of the liberal arts status was most gratifying. It has appeared at times that the Board of Trustees and those closely connected with the college in the community, com-munity, were at odds with one another in the program of development develop-ment ' The oneness of purpose, the oneness of actiot. and planning coming forth from this meeting as the program approaches Its last hurdle, the Utah State Legislature, was more than opeful It was confident With the full support of these agencies, along with the Council of Higher Education which previously had endorsed the move, should present a package program that will be difficult to move aside at the legislature. However, It could happen and each of those In attendance at the meeting and those others interest-d and dedicated dedi-cated to this advancement must not nd cannot relax. The battle will not be totally won until it has passed the legislature. |
