Show 'fi:..." .. ... i EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. Billows of smoke erupt from roof of Harry Bauer home in fire which broke up Monday morning. morn-ing. Fire department fought blaze for hour and a half. It was confined to one section of the home. Fire Causes Damage To Cedar City Home Fire broke out at the home of Harry Bauer, 261 South 600 East, Monday morning, causing an estimated damage of $6000, it was reported by Ross Glass, fire chief. Apparent cause of the fire was grease and pine tar cooking on the kitchen stove. Mrs. Bauer was reported making some medication medi-cation and had gone to.yjsit a neighbor. When she returned the house was in flames. Flames moved from the kitchen kitch-en to the attic and extensive fire damage occured in the kitchen kit-chen and living room as well as most of the roof and the roof Joist. In addition extensive smoke damage was reported. However, most of the household furnishings, furnish-ings, books and clothing were removed and were not damaged. The fire chief indicated that the roof will probably have to be replaced re-placed and rewiring will be necessary nec-essary in addition to other work resulting from either fire or smoke damage. |
