Show Last Minute Hints Conveyed By Local Postmaster "While the time to talk about 'Mail Early for Christmas' has passed," Postmaster Rulon S. Wood said today, "last minute mailers can help us tremendously tremendous-ly to avoid serious pile-ups of Christmas mail if they'll get all of their Christmas cards and gift packages on their way within with-in the next 21 hours. He suggests that you use Air Mail for every Christmas card and gift package going to distant, dis-tant, places. Here's a few of the Postmaster's Postmas-ter's important reminders about Christmas mail. Don't mail money mon-ey in Christmas gifts or parcels, be sure to include full name and address, postal zone numbers, and your return address. Insure parcels and register letters of real value. Parcels containing delicate gifts must be marked "rragile," and rood siuns siiuuiu be marked "ierishablc" if they are subject to spoilage. Postmaster Wood expressed his great appreciation for the fine cooperation of the public so far, and went on to say, "Now that wer are coming to the end of the big rush, let's all keep up the good work so we can have every mail bag empty and every Post Office employee relaxing at home on Christmas Eve." He concluded by extending his thanks to all patrons and wishing wish-ing them a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. |
