Show I SUMMIT Mrs. Donna Davenport Our Stake visitors took up the time li Sacrament meeting Sunday. Sun-day. Speakers were President Howard D. Knight, Joseph E. Ward and Lyle Halterman. President Pre-sident Knight also sang "O Little Town of Bethlehem." Monday evening the Primary officers held their Christmas par-1 ty. They served dinner to their husbands and the Bishopric and I wives. Gifts were exchanged and I everyone had an enjoyable time. I I Visiting over the week endl with Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Mor-' : ton and daughter was Rodger's I sister and family. The Bud Wilsons Wil-sons of Fort Collins. Colorado. While here they were guests of an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Al Matheson. Arriving here Saturday for a four day visit was Mr. and Mrs. Conley Adams and their three children of Salt Lake City. They are spending their time with Mrs. Adams' folks, the Jack Farrows. Saturday visitors at the Jay Davenport home were their son-in-law and daughter, Fred and Connie Wrhlcker of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green left lt week for Chula Vista, Calif, where they will spend the holi days with their son and family, the Ralph Green, Jr., Kenneth Green returned home with his grandparents after a two month stay here with them. Mrs. Linda Holdsworth was here from Cedar City to spend her birthday with her aunt and family, the Bertrand Dalleys. Mrs. Edna Sargent, president, greeted fifty members and guests of the Cedar Citv Business and Professional Women's Club at the I annual Christmas Party held at Sullivan's Cafe. The tables were cheery with Christmas ornaments orna-ments and favors and the food was delicious. The committee in charge was Miss Shirlene Cox, chairman, Mrs. Blanche Dotson, Mrs. Ada Jones, and Mrs. Carol Creel. Mrs. Beth Leigh presented her tiny reindeer chorus In several songs and the older members of her class In piano' and vocal numbers. Mrs. Edna Sargent read a Christmas Story, "No Room in the Inn." Under the gaily decorated de-corated Christmas tree we found gifts for everyone present and much fun was created in the exchange. ex-change. The finance committee sold chances on an aluminum Christmas Christ-mas tree and also sold popcorn balls for funds to swell our Rheumatic Fever Fund. Mrs. Mildred Dalley was the winner of the tree. |
