Show Selective Service Violations May Hasten Call Up Samuel F. "Bud" Leigh, chairman chair-man of the Iron County Selective Selec-tive Board, calls attention to the fact that many young men 8" failing to register with Selective Srrvlcr " seen a. !hev hmiir! after reaching their lXth birthday, birth-day, thus Jcporadizing their standing in future proceedures. Each young man is required to register within five days after he reaches 18 years of age, and failure fail-ure to do so automatically classes class-es the registrant as delinquent. Definite precedures are provided in these cases, and while registering re-gistering late may not result in immediate induction, it places the individual in a delinquent category that may hasten his induction in-duction without waiting for the age which they ordinarily reach. Late registration may also interfere in-terfere with deferment eligibility later on. It is important that every young man register on time, ;ukI these men should remember their responsibility a .'.I report at tin Selective Servic. office on tin second f!
