I EN AVANTES Wednesday of last week Mrs. Elwood Corry entertained at her home for members of the En Avante Club. A delicious buffet dinner was served to the ladies and an ornate Christmas candle salad added to the party atmos- phere. The home was decorated i with the luster of Yuletide theme ' and set the scene for a seasonal story read by Mrs. George Barrus. The group en- joyed the special holiday party planned for them by committee members, Mrs. Corry, Mrs. Ila Sherratt, Mrs. Kumen Gardner, Mrs. G. D. MacDonald, Mrs. Clifton Clif-ton L. Chatterley and Mrs. L. Robert Ro-bert Gardner. A holiday of visiting and camera cam-era fun was the special feature at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Corry last Thursday evening as they entertained at a pre-Christmas pre-Christmas dinner party. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Graff, Mr. and Mrs. Edward G Matheson, Dr. L. V. Broadhent and son Mike, Dr. and Mrs. Garth Chatterley, Dr. and Mrs. Reed W. Farnsworth, Mrs. Virginia Leonard, Mrs. Logan Carr, Mrs. Lloyd Taylor and Dr. Reed Alder of Parowan enjoyed the gay atmosphere of this festive fes-tive holiday season. First Security Bank employees took time out Friday night for a special treat in the form of a Steak Dinner. The group and their partners motored the short distance to "Milt's Stage Stop", where they held their holiday' social. The gaiety of clever decora- j tions set the scene at the home of Mrs. Garth Chatterley as she entertained last Thursday afternoon. after-noon. The ornate accessories in a Christmas tone set the mood for a special social occasion for her guests, Mrs. Melvin Corry, Mrs. Frank Petty, Mrs. Phil Og-den, Og-den, Mrs. Elwood Corry, Mrs. Paul Lunt, Mrs. Mitchell Lunt, Mrs. Scott Urie, Mrs. Robert White, Mrs. Ardeen Childs, Mrs. Dixie Leavitt and Mrs. Reed Alder. Al-der. A delicious crab salad in cupped avocado halves with all the trimmings of a holiday luncheon was served by the hostess. To complete their afternoon after-noon the ladies enjoyed watching watch-ing a film on home decorating. HH CLUB Of interest to the ladies of the H. II. Club were the stories presented pre-sented by Faun Thompson in a holiday fashion at the home of Mrs. Mae Leih. The event took place last Thursday afternoon. In keeping with the Christmas theme corsages created by Erma Clark of the Zion Sun Floral and a sample of driftwood dress ed in ornamental holiday beauty i by Jean Bethers was an added feature. To complete their annual an-nual Christmas party a special Yuletide luncheon was served by committee members for the j event, Lilly Clark, Mae Leigh I and Faun Thompson. I |
