Show Council Okeys New City Zoning Program The Cedar City Council, following fol-lowing a public hearing Friday night, adopted a revised zoning ordinance as presented by the Cedar City Planning Commission. The new ordinance, when published, pub-lished, will repeal all present zo- ' ning regulations in the city, and ' place all phases of zoning under tile new ordinance. The revisions were undertaken as a means of bringing all regulations re-gulations that have been adopted over the past ten years under one ordinance, bringing all details up-to-date, and eliminating any conflicts that may develop. A I Tlanning Consultant, Dale Des-pain Des-pain of Provo, was employed by the City Council early in the year and he with the Planning Commission Com-mission has worked for about nine months to complete the revision re-vision of the ordinances, which were presented to and adopted by the City Council. A few very minor changes were approved before final adoption, adop-tion, and as soon as these can be written into the ordinance, it will be published and become effective. |
