Show I PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES I by Hilma Lamoreoux Something now will be added in the way of Christmas Eve celebrations in Paragonah this year. Formerly the Ward Primary Pri-mary has sponsored the activity which consisted of a spiritual program followed by a visit from Santa Claus, and the entire program pro-gram was held in the Ward Chapel Cha-pel on Christmas Eve. This year the two will be held on separate evenings, and under separate sponsorship. On Saturday evening, Dec. 23, the Primary children will present a program commemorating the birth of Christ and everyone is invited to attend the program. It will commence at 7 o'clock and will be held in the Ward Chapel. On Sunday evening the town will sponsor a Santa Claus party in the School Auditorium, also scheduled to begin at 7 o'clock. I A women's club is in charge of I the arrangements for this affair and everyone is invited to come and meet Santa Claus at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson spent Sunday in Richfield with their son, Clinton Robinson, and family. They made the trip with the Hugh Robinson family of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. David Dalton traveled to Salt Lake City in the wee hours of Saturday to bring their daughter, Ruth Ann, home. Miss Dalton has been attending business scnool but is now preparing pre-paring to enter college at CSU. Miss Connie Dunton arrived home on Friday to spend the holiday ho-liday season wit'i her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frar.k Dunton and her sister, Sue. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo C. Robinson traveled to Salt Lake City on Friday to see Bud's doctor there. They were accompanied by Dorothy's Dor-othy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Warren of Parowan. Bud was relieved of the cast he has ! been wearing for the past few months and is said to be making a satisfactory recovery from his recent back operation. The spacious home of Mrs. Lu-la Lu-la R. Bastian was the scene of a festive holiday party Saturday evening. The Ward Primary of-ficers of-ficers entertained their husbands at a delicious turkey dinner which was followed by an even-1 ing of games. Over thirty people! were present to enjoy the occa-1 sion. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hurton i and their two babies arrived here from Logan Wednesday to ' spend the holiday season with Laura's parents, Mr. and Mis. I Errol Lamoreaux. Latest reports were that he was undergoing under-going extensive tests. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and their children of Cedar City were Sunday visitoirs here to the homes of their parents, Mrs. Olive Ol-ive Edwards and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. Arthur Evans and daughter, Debra, traveled to Salt Lake City last week end to bring Mrs. Evans Ev-ans and the two smaller girls home again following their stay with Sherry Dawn and her new baby. The D. U. P. meeting held Thursday afternoon of last week at the T. A. Robinson home was quite well attended and was an interesting meeting. The lesson material was given by Mrs. Mary C. Williamson, the history of John Prothero, a Paragonah pio-noer pio-noer was given and a social followed. |
