Show Dean Brown Called To Serve in New England Mission Dean Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thales Brown, has received a call to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is announced announc-ed by Bishop Bruce D Matheson, of the Parowan First Ward, of which Dean is a member. Elder Brown has been called to serve in the New England Mission and will enter the LDS mission home in Salt Lake City Monday morning, Jan. 8, in preparation prep-aration for his mission service. 111s parents announce inai a testimonial in his honor will be held on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 1 p. m. in the First-Second Ward chapel cha-pel in connection with his ward's sacrament meeting. A cordial invitation in-vitation has been extended by the ward bishopric to all of Elder El-der Brown's relatives and friends to attend the program. Dean is a graduate of Parowan High School where he was active in the athletic program, playing football, basketball and baseball on the school teams.. He has attended at-tended Utah State University at Logan for the past year and a half. In connection with the church programs on Sunday, Dec. 31, Bishop Charles H. Gurr of the Third Ward announces that the testimonial for Elder Decker Or-ton, Or-ton, which will be held In connection con-nection with that ward's sacrament sacra-ment services, will he changed from the regular meeting hour of 2 p. to to 2:30 in order that those who wish may attend both testimonials. |
