Show Students to loin Publications Staffs In a list of appointments made to publication staffs on the campus cam-pus of the University of Utah, this week, it was revealed that two students from Cedar City, Dayle Perkins and T. J. Jones had been selected to work in two very important positions. Mr. Jones, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jones, was chosen as business manager of the campus publication "The Pen", a monthly month-ly literary magazine, while Mr. Perkins, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Perkins, will act in the capacity of associate editor of the "Utonian" U. of U. yearbook. Both of the Cedar City youths are members of the Pi Kappa Alpha Al-pha fraternity and both have been members of the student participation par-ticipation committee for the past three quarters. Both are attending attend-ing the university on scholarships scholar-ships won while attending the Cedar high school. Mr. Perkins has been active as a member of the W. R. A. carnival car-nival committee and is also a member of the honorary Alpha Epsilon Eto, national T. V. and radio fraternity plus being a member of the Intercollegiate Knights. Mr. Jones, a member of the famed U. of U. marching band is also a member of the music fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi. ' ' V V - ' ' ) ' K' it . He attended the schools of Cedar City and had spent most of his life working in the livestock business. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Kate A. Gardner, Cedar City; a half-sister, Mrs. Caroline Jordan, Cedar City, and two half-brothers, Alonzo Ahlstrom, Cedar City, and Byron Ahlstrom, Redondo Beach, Calif. |
