Show B fl C to Bestow Honorary Degree Mrs. Edith Bowen, prominent educator of Cache County, will bo honored at the commencement exorcises of the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural college on Friday, May 22, when she will be awarded an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the local institution. The presentation will be made during the commencement exercises ex-ercises to be held Friday evening, even-ing, May 22, as the climax of commencement week. Mrs. Bowen began her teaching career in 1906 in the Benson Elementary Ele-mentary school in Logan, launching launch-ing into a long period of service that ranged through many positions posi-tions in the school system of Logan, Lo-gan, advancing through the elementary ele-mentary and high school into the old Brigham Young college, and finally serving as Elementary Supervisor of the Logan City schools, and as Principal of the Training School at the Utah State Agricultural college. Throughout the years she has made a tremendous contribution to education in Utah, particularly particular-ly in her home town of Logan. |
