Each married lady of the ward was presented with a rose bush. Mrs. Hulda Webster of Call-ente, Call-ente, Nev. visited here for a few days with relatives. Visitors at the home of Jennie I Williams last week were Wealth Reeves of Cedar and her two daughters, Mrs. Celia Bartholmew and son of Fayette, Utah, and Mrs. Faye Wiser and small daughter of Salt Lake City. The MIA held its closing social so-cial May 3 in the form of a progressive pro-gressive party. Mrs. Minnie Rowe of Provo visited vis-ited here with her sister Mrs. Mina Piatt. Primary conference was held here Sunday evening May 10. Some of the stake officers of the organization were in attendance. Joe Norman and Jerry Isom have gone to Grand Canyon where they have employment. "Bill Isom visited for a few days in California with his sisters. Cecil Parker has returned home and is visiting at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lena Williams. Kelvin Zohner, J. L. Piatt and Leon Reeves graduated from the L D S Seminary last Sunday evening eve-ning in Cedar City. Some of our townspeople attended at-tended the dance review at St. George Sun Bowl Saturday evening eve-ning and several of our MIA girls participated. Mrs. Jennie Williams made a business trip to Salt Lake City the first of the week. Mrs. LaRue Pollock and children chil-dren spent Mother's Day at Enterprise En-terprise with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Milton Laub. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hunter of Cedar City called on Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Reeves for a short visit Monday. Many out-of-town people were here Sunday, having come to honor their Mothers on Mother's'. Day. , Miss Sherry Gubler of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Humphrey of Minersville, spent Mother's Day here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Har-ris Gubler. Mrs. Thra Davis and son Sammy Sam-my spent a week in Las Vegas with her husband who has employment em-ployment there. Harlan Durrand had the misfortune mis-fortune of getting one of his fingers cut off while working at Iron Mountain. Mr. and Mrs..Lafe Ballard and daughter banara or Hurricane visited Sunday with Mrs. Ballard's Bal-lard's father, Sam L. Pollock. j |
