' Entry deadline for the 17th annual an-nual Intermountain Junior Livestock Live-stock show is Monday, May 25, show manager Merrill D. Parkin reminded 4-H club and Future Farmer members this week. The show will be staged June 3 and 4 at the North Salt Lake Stock Yards. The annual event attracts hundreds of Future Farmers of America and 4-H club members from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Wyo-ming, Montana, Nevada and Colorado. Col-orado. Premiums totaling thousands of dollars will be distributed. In addition, stock sold at auction . during the two day show traditionally tradi-tionally brings good premiums well above current market prices. Parkin said entry blanks must be 'in the hands of William D. Backman, secretary, Box 329, Salt Lake City 10, by Monday, May 25. Mr. Backman reported that several hundred entries had already al-ready been received. As an educational feature of the show, members of the FFA and 411 club organizations have been selected by their respective groups to participate in the various vari-ous phases of show management. |
