Show Redmen Turn Back Wolves 7 to 0 In Last Encounter The Cedar City high school baseball team won its first league game of the season Thursday, Thurs-day, trimming the Enterprise high school team by a score of 7 to 0. In turning in the victory the Redmen played well throughout, through-out, but showed very little interest in-terest in the proceedings. Seldom Sel-dom has such Indifference been displayed on a local ball diamond, dia-mond, particularly by a winning team. Don Ray Melling and Steve Lunt did the pitching for the Redmen and allowed only one hit, single by L. Jones, the Enterprise Enter-prise catcher. T. Terry did a nice job of pitching for the visiting team, allowing only five hits. However, his teammates committed commit-ted seven errors behind him. The Cedar team made only three errors. er-rors. The Redmen scored one run in each of the second, third and sixth innings, and pushed over four runs in the fifth when Jack Berrett slashed out a double with the bases loaded |
