Show j ft. C. P. Program Begins Jan. 1, Says Chairman Iron County farmers have been ' reminded this week by J. Leonard I Topham, chairman of the Iron : County Committee of the Agricul-I Agricul-I tural Stabilization and Conser-1 Conser-1 vation (ASC), that the program I officially opens on Jan. 1, 1956. j The first deadline date for con-j con-j servation practices under the 1956 program is Feb. 5, 1956. ' Sign up for work to be perform- ed during the month of February must be made prior to Feb. 5, Topham pointed out. He also reminded re-minded those farmers who sign up at this time that the expiration expira-tion date or date of reporting of performance for the first four months, February, March, AprU and May, has been set for June 1. Deadline for the two months June and July are also prior to the 5th of each of those months and expiration date for the period per-iod is August 1. August and September expiration expira-tion dates is Oct. 5, and expiration expira-tion date for October through December De-cember is Dec. 30. Farmers' have been encouraged, encourag-ed, however, not to sign up for ACP assistance unless they are certain that the practices anticipated anti-cipated will be done, or not until un-til 30 days prior to the time desired de-sired to start work under the program. |
