Boone, a sophomore and a Jun- ior College Ail-American from last year. Boone made all-state two years in high school. He is an all-conference man from ,'ast year and in addition to making ail-American last year he was selected to the National Tournament Tourna-ment team. Russell, the advanced publicity states, holds the record in the Texas Intercollegiate Association As-sociation for scoring in one game. His record still stands at 50 points in the final game for the state championship. The Broncos, however, wt'l have one definite advantage. Tyler Ty-ler is playing a rough schedule in this area and Saturday's game will be the sixth consecutive night of ball in six different communities. com-munities. They started at Pueblo, Colo., Monday evening, moved to Mesa College at Grand Junction Tuesday, were at Ephraim playing play-ing against Snow Badgers Wednesday. Wed-nesday. They will meet Weber College at Ogden this evening, traveJ to Price to meet Carbon College Friday evening and end up Saturday in Cedar against the Broncos. They take to the road again Monday at Phoenix, Ariz. Coach Petty is working his team this week to iron out the kinks from Saturday night's game with Chaffey. In that game the Broncos showed a lot of spunk through most of the game, but never giving giv-ing up. In the final minutes of play the Broncos got the lead and controlled the game the last four minutes. Petty is expected to work his reserves in these two games in an effort to boost hi depth when the regular season rolls around. |
