Show lir Force Recruiter Announces Training Program A new Air Force basic training system will be introduced to Air Force enlistees at the West coast basic training center at Parks Air Force Base, PJcasanton, Calif., effective ef-fective the first of January according ac-cording to Technical Seargeant Carl Fowler, Air Force recruiter frnm Prnun The new system will allow qualified enlistees to enter the many Air Force technical training train-ing schools after only six weeks basic training, those selected to enter the more than 40 career fields through the 'on-the-job' training program will remain at Parks for an additional five weeks basic training. The new basic training system sys-tem wUl in no way alter any of the basic qualifications for enlistment en-listment into the Air Force, Sgt. Fowler said. Applicants for enlistment enlist-ment must be between 17 and 31 and be able to pass the necessary neces-sary written and physical examinations. exam-inations. Persons who are not 18, must have the written consent of their parents before they can be enlisted. The Aviation Cadet program, which was curtailed during the summer months, is open again to high school graduates between T9 and years who are single sin-gle and can pass the entrance examinations.
