Show Gun and Rod Club Conducts ilnnual Election Meet At the annual election meeting meet-ing of the Parowan Gun and Rod Club, held last Thursday night in the courtroom of the county courthouse. Duane G. Van Aus-day, Aus-day, head of the industrial arts department of the Parowan High School was elected president of the sportsmen's group for the coming year. Van Ausdal will succeed Ralph S. Orton, who has served since last May when he moved from vice president to pre-ident pre-ident when Eugene Orton resigned resign-ed the position to move to Provo. Roy Rumjer was named as vice president of the club, with Leonard Leon-ard S. Orton re-elected as sec- retary, and Norman Day was elected as treasurer. Warren Pen-' Pen-' dleton and Vern C. Mortensen were elected board members and the retiring president automatically automatic-ally becomes a member of the board of directors. Van Ausdal was last year's treasurer of the club and Dr. Rov T. Wilkerson and M. Howard i Ward were members of the board I during 1955, and will retire when the newly elected officers take I over. I The election of officers is held ' during the first week in December Decem-ber in order that new officers J may take over the duties by the first of the year and prepare for ! the annual convention of the Utah State Wildlife Federation, which this year will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 21 I and 22. |
