Show Parowan Rams Down Redmen Quint Cedar High Redmen and the Parowan Rams met in a traditional tradi-tional battle between the schools on Wednesday night. The Parowan Paro-wan Rams emerged victorious with a one-point margin, 46 to 45. It was the third consecutive win for Coach Dick Jones and his Rams of Parowan and the third consecutive loss for Coach Ray Englestead and the Redmen, in pre season play. Cedar led through most of the game, but never by a wide margin. mar-gin. In the final quarter and one-half one-half the point spread never varied var-ied more than two points. A look at the quarter scores tells the story. At the end of the first eight minutes of play the Red-men Red-men held a one-point edge, 11 to 12. At the half time they moved Into a three point lead, 28 to 25 and dropped back to a two-point lead at the three quarter mark, 39 to 37. Midway in the fourth and final quarter the Rams took the lead and it see-sawed back and forth. With less than throe minutes to go Parowan held a one-point lead. Cedar came back with a field goal to move into a slim lead and that was lost when the Rams scored from the field. In the final minute of play Otis McCall for the Redmen missed a layup and Terry Rosenborg missed miss-ed from the foul lane with the redmen trailing by only one point. Parowan had taken the load with a shot from the corner by Roger Skougard. With a jump ball Parowan's John Slmkins took the tip and with loss than 30 seconds on the clock, stalled for the victory. The game was actually won from the free-throw lane. Cedar out-scored Parowan from the field, 16 to 15, but the Rams hit 16 of 28 foul pitches compared to 13 for Cedar in the same number num-ber of tries.
