Show Delinquent Tax List i To Appear Dec. 1 1 In Parowan Times The Iron County delinquent tax list will be published in the Dec. 11 issue of the Parowan Times, according to Clair Hulet, county treasurer. Mr. Hulet reports that by the tax delinquent date, Monday, Nov. 30 96.87 per cent of all county coun-ty taxes assessed had been col-. col-. letted, and that items collected ' I but not turned into his office at this time should bring the figure fig-ure to 97 per cent. He states that , this is the highest percentage of collections by the tax deadline in the history of the county as far as he can remember. The tax list, however, may be slightly larger this year than for the past several years, in spite of the higher percentage of collection. col-lection. This situation is created by the fact that percentage of taxes assessed to large taxpayers, taxpay-ers, such as mines and utilities, practically all of which has been, paid, has increased this year over previous years. Although there may be more small parcels of property on which taxes have not been paid, the percentage of collections col-lections is higher than in any previous year, Mr. Hulet says. |
