Show West Elementary Children Observe 'Book Week' National Book Week, Nov. 15 through Nov. 20, has been observed ob-served by the boys and girls in the Cedar City West Elementary school, with a well rounded program. pro-gram. Committees of boys and girls from the fourth, fifth and sixth grades worked with Mrs. Claudia Forsyth, librarian, to make displays dis-plays of all the new library books received by the school this year. The books were used in displays dis-plays which were entitled, "Fun With Stories." "Fun With Science," Sci-ence," and "Fun to Find Out." The latter display features a lovely new set of World B(Xik Encyclopedia, En-cyclopedia, as well as many volumes vol-umes of biography and history. A display made in the form of a book house, using covers from the books for shingles and siding, attracted the attention and interest of the children. On Friday, Nov. 20, the final day of Book Week, Mrs. Lamont Bennett and Mrs. Leslie Hahne will entertain the children of the primary grades with stories. |
