Show Civil Service Lists Postal Clerk Vacancies Announcement has been made in Denver, Colo., of a new Federal Fed-eral Civil Service examination for filling substitute postal transportation transpor-tation clo:k ,oyitions. The examination exam-ination opens today for residents f Arizona, Colorado, New Mexi-', Mexi-', Utah, and Wyoming, and applicants ap-plicants must be bona fide residents resi-dents of one of these states. Appointments from the list of eligibles established as a result of this examination will in most cases lie made for duty in cities in which railway postal terminals termin-als are looted. Where original appointments arc for duty in terminals, ter-minals, vacancies on railway post office lines are generally filled by transfer from the terminals, ter-minals, in accordance with seniority sen-iority rights. The starting salary is $1.71', 3 an hour and the duties include the separation, distribution, and routing of maiis in transit. The duties are of an arduous physical physi-cal nature and involve the handling han-dling of parcels and heavy bags of mail as well as individual letters.
