Show Stake Conference Sustains, Releases Officers At the Sunday afternoon session ses-sion of the Parowan Stake quarterly quar-terly conference held last week end several matters of business1 pertaining to stake affairs were taken care of. I The high priests quorum pres-, idency consisting of N. Howard Dalley, Daniel Crawford and Gil- bert Robinson, selected at the previous conference of the stake, were set apart by Elder Clifford E. Young, assistant to the quorum quor-um of Twelve Apostles of the L D S church who was in attendance. attend-ance. Elder Young was accompanied accom-panied by Orville Gunther, who also took part in the conference. Because of the fact that stake missionaries may now work only with non-members of the church residing In the stake, and because be-cause there are very few non-members non-members within the Parowan ;stake boundaries, a number of members of the group with the longest service were released at the Sunday meeting. Released were Mrs. Delia Mars-den, Mars-den, Mrs. Lilly Ward, Joseph E. Lister, Wm. T. Davenport, Calvin Robinson, George Stevens and Silas Topham. Alden Hyatt was released as .secretary of the Stake Y M M I A board and Charles Topham was sustained in his place, and Mrs. Itha Mortensen was released as stake organist with Miss Deon Robinson sustained in her place. Henry B. Heaton was released as .assistant secretary of the Fourth quorum of Elders, Enoch ward. Kenneth Topham and Meeks Dal-ton Dal-ton were approved for advancement advance-ment to the Melchizedek Priesthood Priest-hood and ordained elders in the Parowan First Ward. |
