Show American Legion Post Begins Membership Drive The Parowan Post No. 20 of the American Legion launched its annual membership drive on Nov, 11, Armistice Day, with Troy Cawood as chairman of the drive committee, it is announced by A. B. Matheson, post commander. com-mander. The drive will run to Friday, Nov. 27 during which time an effort will be made to contact every member of the Legion at the present time as well as all eligible servicemen Mr. Cawood announces. At the end of the drive it is planned to hold a get-together dinner for both old and new legion le-gion members and members of the Legion Auxiliary; therefore it is urged that anyone who isn't contacted for membership between be-tween now and November 27 get in touch with Mr. Matheson, Mr. Cawood or Kenneth Joseph, adjutant and renew their membership. mem-bership. These men stress the fact that the American Legion is the only organization in the community interested in the welfare of the Legionnaires, and that the national na-tional veterans program is a result re-sult of the watchfulness of the national American Legion organization. |
