Show a - - Utah Symphony Appears In Cedar Friday Music lovers of southern Utah are anticipating an exceptionally fine evening of entertainment Friday when the Utah Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Maurice Abravanel, will make another of its many appearances in Cedar City. The concert will be presented in the College of Southern Utah fieldhouse, Fridav, Nov. 20. The concert is the first of the , Music Arts series for the VXi3- J 51 season, and will be followed! by three or four other outstand- j ing programs. Season tickets have been on sale for the entire sei ies for some , time. However, it is not necessary to hold season tickets to attend the symphony concert Friday. Single admission charges will be $2.10 for adults and SI. 10 for children. With the concert scheduled sched-uled In the fieldhouse plenty ofj seats will be available for all who wish to attend. Each visit of the symphony marks another milestone in the cultural development of Cedar City. Few cities this size will see the yearly visit of a major orchestra or-chestra and is evidence of the cultural desires of the people of this area. I New additions in personnel have been made to the orchestra this year and critics reports of its musical performance place it at the peak of its history. A program of great interest to the general public has been formulated for-mulated by Maestro Abravanel. Included will be a solo appearance appear-ance of Reid Nibley in the brilliant bril-liant "Concertstuck" by Von Weber. We-ber. The balance of the Music Arts offerings will bring great names to Cedar City. Jean Fenn of Met-1 ropolitan Opera statue and Isaac Stern, one of the great violinists1 of the day, have already beeni scheduled.
