Show LETTERS I j TO THE EDITOR j AS I SEE IT Tile sheep is the most valuable valua-ble animal in the world. Here in the United States it has been kicked around and forgotten until un-til we have less than one-third of the wool that we need in peace time, and if England de-1 cided to go to war on Russia's side (not impossible) we wouldn't would-n't have enough wool to furnish wool socks for the soldiers, lei aione clothe them. 1 think that I the people better wake up before it is too late since the sheep population is dwindling more than you kii w. We ;uc handicapped handi-capped by lack of tiluient labor! la-bor! we (Ion' get enou;,:i out of them to pay the wacrs the Indus-dy Indus-dy is paying As I see it, wool has been a political football for the last 2,1 years; it has been kicked around and none of our senators or representatives rep-resentatives have made a touchdown, touch-down, but have done a lot of fumbling. We cannot compete with the 40 cent an hour labor in foreign countries when our average aver-age wage is $1.59 kii hour. Why is a sheep the most valuable ani-man ani-man in the world? Because It has wool to make the best kind of clothing, the finest meat ever, lanolin for face creams, hides to line coats, shoes and many other I hings. I think it is time for all .of us to get out and holler Amer-I Amer-I incan wool for American people. P.S. Without wool to blend with j synthetics the synthetics wouldn't would-n't be of any value.
