Show Cedar City American Legion Post Starts Membership Drive The Cedar City American Legion Le-gion Post No. 74 will initiate a membership campaign to run throughout the remainder of November No-vember and all of December In an effort to up the membership for the coming year to make a more active, better coordinated civic organization. It was revealed reveal-ed today by Milton Sevy, first vice commander in charge of membership. To stimulate the drive p izes have been bought by the organization organi-zation in amounts of approximately approx-imately $3; and the present membership has been divided into in-to teams for competitive purposes pur-poses for the drive. Burns Sherratt and Guff Jolh-y will head the two trams and the contest will officially open Friday, Fri-day, Nov. 20. Final date of liie contest will be December 31, 1!53. The contest, although divided into teams, will be judged on an individual basis with points to be awarded for renewed membership mem-bership and new memberships with five points for renewed memberships and 10 points for new memberships. At the end of the contest the losing team will be responsible for making the necessary preparations prepar-ations for a dance and social for the entire organization. First prize will be a stetson hat, it was announced. All o' the prizes will be displayed in-the in-the show window of Marsden's Men's Shop throughout the contest. con-test.
