Unnrecedented Talent Array I j Patrons of the Lions Club an-1 an-1 nual Minstrel Show can expect 1 a hilarious evening next Thurs- day, Thanksgiving, when the ' 17th annual minstrel will be pre-1 pre-1 sented in the College of Southern Utah fieldhouse. Committees. 1 specialty casts, chorus groups and all members assigned to specific spe-cific jobs are devoting much to preparations for the event in order or-der that it can be as much of a success as any of the previous 16 performances. Pratt M. Bethers and Gordon Christensen are general chairmen of the annual event and are being be-ing assisted by a number of committees com-mittees headed by the following 1 chairmen: staging, Eldro Rigby; seating, Eugene Hardy; lighting, I Morgan Slack; sound, Arthur Higbee; publu.ty, M. F. Burgess; ticket sales, Ray Anker; costumes and propei ties Leo Cahoon; stage decorations, C. B. Cooley; ushers, Walt Lunt; confections, D. C. Schmutz; doormen, Loran Hirschi; ticket sales, A. W. Ste- phenson. L. N. Marsden will act as interlocutor, inter-locutor, with Wes Mullett, Ray P Lindquist, Graham MacDonald, Morris Roberts, Durham Morris, Walt Lunt, V. R. Magleby and Joe Atkin, as end men. There will be two dance teams, one composed of Haze Hunter, I Dee Cowan, Gail Duncan and , Ren Talor, and the other of Wallace Osborne, Carlyle Mitchell, Mitch-ell, and Cornell Anderson. The dancers are under the direction of Mrs. LaVeve Whetten and Miss Carol Christensen. Dialogue will be by Gordon Christensen, Pratt Bethers, Dr. J. S. Prestwich and Clarence Miller. Alex Angelo, Chauncey Mac-farlane, Mac-farlane, Ralph Hafen, Morg Slack, Vilate Berrett, Ralph B. Piatt, Bert Smith and Dr. R. W. Farns-worth Farns-worth will appear as vocal soloists solo-ists and in duets. A novelty quartet quar-tet will hp composed of A. L. Graff, Ben Cooley, Eldro Rigby and Furl Porter. Other vocalists will be Kent Dover, Forrest Hunter, Hunt-er, Whitney Jensen and Howard Wood. Reed Berrett is in charge of the vocal musical numbers Herschel Neeley is in charge of the chorus work, and instrumental instrumen-tal music will be arranged by M. A. Cowley. The minstrel, which features not only good music, but a wide variety of skits, dancing and general ribbing of civic and social so-cial leaders of the community, will provide an exceptionally fine evening of entertainment and a large crowd is expected to be "in attendance.
