Show Jaycees Prepare Plans ior Basketball Season The Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce sports and recreation recrea-tion committee, sponsor of the Cedar City basketball league each year, met in a brief session ses-sion this week to outline plans for the ensuing basketball season. sea-son. Kay Boulter, chairman of the commi'tee, announced that it is anticipated that the league games will be played in the College Col-lege of Southern Utah fieldhouse again this year. Tentative plans at the present time include the scheduling of league play. j However the schedule cannot , be drawn up until all teams interested in-terested in entering the league have been contacted. Mr. Boulter asks that interested teams contact con-tact him or Tom Brockmeier, board advisor, if they are interested inter-ested in entering the league. Several requests have been made from out-of-town teams to I enter the city league program this year, it is understood, and i an invitation has been sent to those teams, assuring them that thev will be admited. Enterprise and Parowan have shown particularly partic-ularly high Interest in joining the Cedar City league, Mr. Boulter Boul-ter said. |
