Show KANARRAVILLE HEWS Hannah A. Davis The Relief Society held its closing clos-ing social last week end with a program and refreshments. Mrs. Rebecca Hottel and two of her children of Baker, Oregon, and Rheabelle Piatt of New Ply-mouth, Ply-mouth, Idaho, spent a few days here with relatives. Mrs. Hot-tel's Hot-tel's two sons attended the B Y U and she will take them back with her. Mrs. Lena Williams spent a few days in Salt Lake City, Utah to see her new grandson born to her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wilkinson. She also visited with her son Douglas Doug-las and family and other relatives. rela-tives. The Stake Primary officers gave a fine program here Sunday evening on reverence for our church. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Haskell and children of Payson visited, here with Mrs. Haskell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Batty. Miss Phyllis Piatt has gone to Salt Lake City to seek employment. employ-ment. Mrs. Hettie Pollock attended the wedding of her granddaugh ter, Karen Wood, at Las Vegas June 4. Karen was married to J Keith Hayes of Las Vegas in the St. George Temple. A reception was held that evening in Las Vegas Ve-gas at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lali Wood. Others attending the reception from here were Mr. and Mrs. Ross Williams and children; Mr. and Mrs. Garth Pollock and Ferl Zoh-ner. Zoh-ner. George A. Berry was in the Iron County hospital for a few days receiving medical care. His condition con-dition is somewhat improved. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Davis are the proud grandparents of their first grandchild, a daughter, born May 31 to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simklns. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves received re-ceived word from their son, Evan who is in the service that he .had landed safety In Germany. Sam L. Pollock is enjoying a visit from several of his children chil-dren and grandchildren, Mrs. Edith Sorenson and Leda Rubley, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Pollock and family of California, and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Pollock and family of the State of Washington. Richard Woodbury visited for a week in Las Vegas with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ren. Williams motored to Preston, Idaho to at-.tend at-.tend a poultry association meet-' meet-' in$ They combined business and ' pleasure. They were accompanied by. their . grandsons, Keith and Kenneth Williams. W. C. Reeves spent a few days in Cedar City. with his son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Reeves. |
