Show Soap Box Derby Call Heard by Two in Cedar City Efforts are being made in Cedar Ce-dar City by the Junior Chamber of Commerce to enter at least two boys In the Utah Soap Box Derby Der-by to be run off at Sprlngville on July 16. At the present time, according to A. L. Thompson, in charge of the project, two sponsors and two boys have been working for the past week or two to complete their soap boxes for the state competition. Thorley Motor Company will sponsor Warren Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Baldwin, and Bradshaw Chevrolet Company Com-pany is sponsoring an entry, Er-win Er-win LeFevre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver LeFevre. Under the rules of the state, as set up by the sponsoring Utah Jaycees, no local contests will be held. However, each club may send in as many entries to the state contest as it desires. Winner Win-ner of the state soap box Derby will be entered In the national contest, Thompson said. |
