Show ENOCH AND MLDVALLEY NEWS By Mrs. Cora Marie Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Gilliam went to Salt Lake City last week where Mr. Gilliam had the cast removed from his arm. It has been In a cast since he suffered an accidental gunshot wound last October while hunting deer. Five local families spent last Saturday at Lehman's Cave in Nevada. Including Dick Nelson, Henry Grimshaw, Earl Murie, Roland Ro-land Anderson and Elvin Murie and their families. Mr., and Mrs. Don Murie spent Saturday and Sunday visiting at Bryce and Grand Canyons. The ward has purchased the Interest of Bud Armstrong in a pump well that he and Stanley Smith owned. The water will be used on the ward farm, where the members are planting beans for the church welfare program. Miss Betty Jones of Las Vegas spent Thursday and Friday visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wlllard Jones. Mrs. Ellen Anderson went to Las Vegas Sunday for the Christening Chris-tening of her first grandson, Craig Anderson. Some of the men of the ward have been working on the park and playground with tractors and levelers; The recreation area is Just west of the Grimshaw home in Midvalley. Fourteen Enoch and Midvalley Midval-ley children started In kindergar- j ten Monday. A baby girl was born in the St George hospital on June 7 to Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Murie of Enterprise. En-terprise. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. David Murie. |
