Show Funeral Services Held for Joseph E. Lister Impressive funeral services were held Monday, June 6, in the Paragonah L D S Ward chapel cha-pel for Joseph E. Lister, 75, who died in Cedar City on Thursday, June 2. "Clark A. Lamoreaux of the Paragonah Par-agonah Ward bishopric conducted conduct-ed the services. Speakers were H. L. Adams and Thomas K. Holy-oak Holy-oak of Parowan, life-long friends of the deceased. Invocation was by J. Leonard Topham and benediction bene-diction by K. Doyle Robinson. The dedicatory prayer was by Gilbert Barton. The musical program included the opening song, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go," by the choir under the direction of Amasa Stones, with Wilma Lamoreaux Lam-oreaux at the organ; a piano solo by Dori Flora; violin solo by Elna Stubbs, accompanied by Ramona Stubbs, and a song by a mixed quartet composed of Wm. T. Dav enport, Amasa Stones, Wilma Lamoreaux and Sarah Robinson, with Melva Barton as accompanist. accompan-ist. Southern Utah Native Joseph E. Lister was born in Parowan on Nov. 12, 1879, a son of John and Sarah P.ogerson Lister. Lis-ter. He was orphaned when a small boy and made his home with the Holyoak and Adams families in Parowan. He received his education in Parowan and attended at-tended the Beaver Branch of B Y U. He was engaged in farming farm-ing and sheep raising most of his life. He married Sarah May Robinson Robin-son in the St. George Temple in September, 1905. He Is survived bv his widow and five children. Joseph Edgard, Lancaster, Calif.; John R. Lister, Paragonah; Jess F. Lister, Whitney, Nev.; Mrs. Etta Et-ta Goodwin, Las Vegas, and Mrs. Alva Gale, Beaver. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Stella Hallman, Mrs. Naomi Davis, Mrs. Eliza Norton, Mrs. Ellen Bettridge and Mrs. Susie Armstrong.
