Show Business Openings Delayed by Truck Line Tie-up At least two new business operations op-erations are being delayed in opening In Parowan because of the truck strike which is in progress pro-gress in the western states, at the present time we are told. A Mr. and Mrs. Radford of California, Cali-fornia, who have moved to this city and have leased the Ram building from Mrs. Georgia B. Mitchell, are being held up by the lack of a few pieces of equipment equip-ment which are supposed to be coming via truck, and which are delaying the opening of their new cafe. Also Kent Heap, operator of the Dairy Freez In Cedar City, and who will operat a similar business busi-ness here in the building recently recent-ly built by J. W. Moore, Is wait- ing for one important piece of machinery before he can open up that business. He informs us that everything is now here and ready to go with the exception excep-tion of the one piece of equipment, equip-ment, which he says In tied up in the truck strike. Earlier delay in getting the equipment for the business was caused by the sale of the concern manufacturing such equipment, to another firm, with the resulting result-ing delay. |
