Show Southwestern History Course Open at CSU Summer Session L I WM. R. PALMER ft Among the courses of Interest being offered during the summer session at College of Southern Utah Is the class In History of the Southwest, being taught by William R. Palmer. There are still some openings In the class, and townspeople are urged to take advantage of the opportunity to enroll. The class meets each evening at 7:30 p.m. Three credits are offered for those of college standing, or the course may be taken without credit. cre-dit. Inquiries concerning enrollment enroll-ment should be directed to the office of the registrar at the college. The course traces the explorations, explora-tions, travel trails and the Influence Influ-ence upon the building of Utah and the West, of the Indians, Spanish, French and Mormon settlers in the Southwest. Mr. Palmer, former Stake President Pre-sident and at present Assistant Historian of the L.D.S. Church, is well versed Jn the history and lore of the West. His writings and anecdotes are full of the dramatic and the whimsical aspects as-pects of the history of this area. Field trips to points of interest in this area will be lntergrated with the course. |
