Show Manti Temple Rites Unite Christine Rogers, John Mathews A marriage ceremony performed per-formed in the Manti L D S temple tem-ple on Friday, July 30, united John Mathews of Cedar City, and Christine Rogers of Fillmore, a ( former teacher in the schools of Cedar City. Mr. Mathews, a son of Mr. and , Mrs. Melvin Mathews, is a native, of Beaver, who has resided in I Cedar City since 1951. He came1 here from Salinas, Calif, and for the past eight vears has been I employed by the Columbia Iron Mining Comapny. His bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Rogers of Fillmore, has been teaching school in Springville for the past three years. Prior to that , time she taught in the junior high school at Cedar City for three years. j They were honored at a reception recep-tion in the ward chapel at Fillmore Fill-more on Saturday evening, Aug. 31, after which they left on a honeymood trip to Canada. They will make their home in Cedar City where Mr. Mathews' will continue his employment, with the mining company. j |
