Show BNS-BflC-CSU Council Holds Election Meet; Willard Jones Selected Head for Coming Year Council members of the BNS-BAC-CSU Alumni Association met Monday evening to elect officers and outline projects for the coming year. Robert Gardner, president for the past year, conducted con-ducted the meeting. Willard Jones, a graduate of the Branch Agricultural College in 1918, was elected president for the coming year. He was unanimously unani-mously selected on the basis of his cooperation and interest as a council member during the past year. Ho will assume his duties du-ties immediately. Several projects fur the coming year were discussed but the only action of the evening was taken in connection with a request by the college to supply some necessary nec-essary equipment fur the new auditorium building which is scheduled for completion this fall. Details of the project will be outlined in the near future and a report of proposed action for the year will be revealed al that time, Mr. Jones stipulated A meeting of the council ha been called at the college foi 'Monday evening, Aug. 16 at 8 at which time the proposed equipment equip-ment project will be outlined. Jones asked that all council ! members be in attendance. Another discussion on the past , policy of carrying every past president of the association on the council was taken up, hut no action was taken. It was suggested sug-gested however, that a policy of an honorary position for those ' members be established. The president-elect will select his own secretary from the alumni alum-ni ranks to serve with him dur-; dur-; ing his term of office. This selection se-lection has not yet be made, it ! is understood. I Jones indicated that efforts j will be made to make the year r,an active one for the alumni : association and upon the recom-; recom-; mendation of the board effort I will probably be made to first, ' establish a policy of contact with i ! the alumni members to keep i them informed, and second, to .establish alumni chapters in ; supporting cities other than Ce- ' dar City. |
