Show Parowan Boy Weds English Girl In Home Ceremony Miss Joan Alloway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Alio-way Alio-way of London, England, became the Bride of Lloyd Stubbs on September 24, In a ceremony performed per-formed at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Fannie Stubbs, in Parowan. The ceremony cere-mony was performed by Bishop Karl O. Mitchell. The bridegroom entered the U. S. Army after his graduation from the Parowan high school and served 25 months, part of which time was on overseas duty. Mr. Stubbs and Miss Alloway became acquainted at the Gros-venor Gros-venor House Officers' Mess Hall in London while Lloyd was stationed sta-tioned in England with the army. Miss Alloway came to the United Unit-ed States last February to visit with a sister in New York, who had married an American soldier. She then come, to Utah for a short visit, and became the bride of Mr. Stubbs. |
