Esplin of Cedar City will celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary on Tuesday, October 11, having been married In 1899 In the L D S Temple in Salt Lake City. An open house for all of their friends will be held Sunday, October Oc-tober 9, from 2 to 7 p. m., at the family residence, 206 South 100 West. Members of the immediate family are having a small party on Tuesday, October 11. Mr. and Mrs. Esplin were both born in Orderville before the United Order broke up In that community, the last In the state. Mr. Esplin Is almost 71 while his wife is 68. They have lived In Cedar Ce-dar City for the past 23 years, where he has been engaged In the livestock and farming business. bus-iness. They have both been active ac-tive here in church activities. They have 13 children, 10 of whom are living. The children are Rulon Merrell. Reed and Van Esplin and Mrs. Thelma Jones, all of Cedar City; Margaret Margar-et Esplin, Mrs. Maxlne Larabee, and Mrs. Ramona Allenby, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ann Thompson, Thomp-son, Warsaw, Indiana; Henry Esplin, Jr., Nyssa, Oregon, and Leo Esplin, who was killed on the Island of Luzon in World War II. |
