Show Reporters Gene Johnson, Margarea Greaves Thespian initiation was held last Thursday. The night meeting was ended with a party for all old and new members and everything every-thing turned out a success. It promises to be a very fine, active ac-tive club this year with Don Knight as president, Madelon Isom, vice president, and Susanna Susan-na Ha Herman, secretary. A very fine Pep club breakfast and candle-light initiation was held last Sunday morning. The club is now well under way The Senior Hop chairman has been chosen. She is Barbara Green and her assistant is Margaret Mar-garet Greaves. The girls have chosen the committee chairmen, and have things moving along fine. Boys organization initiation (slave day) will be held Thursday Thurs-day October 6 from 8 a. m to 6 p. m. All "slaves" will be dressed as Indians. It sounds like fun for everyone. The band is having a dance Wednesday, October 12 to raise funds for its trip to Salt Lake City. Tickets can be obtained from any band member. The School paper "Cedar Post" staff has been chosen. Members are: editor, Don Knight, assistant editor, Jalne Seegmiller, exchange ex-change editor, Carol Dalley, art editors Jimmy Jones and Helen Munfordr sports editor, Dale Perkins, Per-kins, and 28 others for typists, reporters and mimeograph operators. oper-ators. The staff did a nice job on our first paper which was put out last week. A mixed chorus has begun under un-der the direction of Miss Swind-ler. Swind-ler. There is already a large class and Miss Swindler hopes to combine It with her girls chorus and give at least one light opera this year. Marilyn Kemple, this year's Yearbook editor is busy choosing her staff, but as yet hasn't it completed. Miss Fern Holt, the advisor, is aiding Marilyn in the selection of the staff. It has been definitely decided decid-ed that the school play this year under the direction of Merlin Jones, will be a light opera. Carol Dalley and home living advisor, Marie Krueger, made a trip into Salt Lake City where they attended a state F. H. A. meeting. Carol was elected state Activity chairman for this year. |
