Show Fishing Season Ends, Three Prizes to Be Given Fishing season came to an end in the state of Utah Monday ; evening, and with it came the close of the Cedar Wildlife Federation Fed-eration sponsored "Big Fish" contest con-test which has been running throughout the season. Seasonal winners were officially official-ly announced this week by the Federation, with Wayne Mosdell taking first place honors in the senior division, and Hugh Leon Cheever and Kent Brown sharing first place in the Junior division. Mosdell was top man with a 6 pound 15 ounce Rainbow trout which he pulled out of Hendrick-sen's Hendrick-sen's Lake. Cheever and Brown tied for first place with 2 pound 4 ounce Rainbows. Cheever hooked hook-ed his in the Yankee Reservoir while Brown caught his in Pan-guitch Pan-guitch Lake. Mosdell receives as his prize a $50 cash award while the youngsters young-sters will each receive a fishing rod and reel set. The presenta- tion of the awards has not been made yet. Besides the seasonal contest, weekly prizes were awarded each week, for the biggest fish caught in each division. Last week's contest, which was the last of the season, saw Clarence Good take first place in the senior division, di-vision, while Fred Hamilton won In the Junior division. Good took a 3 pound 2 ounce Rainbow out of Navajo Lake, while Hamilton hooked a 1 pound 3 ounce Rainbow Rain-bow in Panguitch Lake. Their weekly prizes were donated by Burgess Optical company and O. P. Skaggs. |
