Show - Theater Guild To Present Famed Tragedy "Hamlet" "Hamlet" the famed Shakespearean Shakes-pearean tragedy, will be produced produc-ed by the Rainbow Theater Guild, according to an announcement announce-ment by Prof. Twain Tlppctts, director of the guild production. It is planned to present the play In the B A C auditorium, February 14, 15 and 16. It will be a cooperative project of the Branch Agricultural college and community talent, according to Prof. Tippetts. Seymour Salmanowitz, New Hyde Park, New York, has been cast In the title role as Hamlet. A Junior student at the B A C,-he C,-he distinguished himself last year In the production of "Death Takes a Holiday", In which he played the part of "The Shadow". Laertes will be played by Ole Larson, Monroe, another out-stand out-stand student in dramatics. Mrs. Ianthus Wright, Cedar City, will be cast in the role of Gertrude, the Queen. Walter Lunt, Cedar City, will take the part of Claudius, Claud-ius, the King. Mr. Lunt will be remembered for his portrayal of "Uncle Chris" in the Rainbow Theater Guild production of "I Remember Mama". Tryouts for the remaining roles will be held next week, according accord-ing to Prof. Tippetts. Members of the cast already selected, and advanced students in dramatic art, are preparing an acting edition edi-tion of the drama. |
