Show Sidewalk Paving To Be Finished VithihTheVeek Construction of almost 28,000 feet of sidewalk paving in the south portion of Cedar City will be completed within the next week, according to H. J. Delaney, contractor for the Job. The laying of the sidewalks began near the middle of July when Mr. Delaney was awarded the contract by the city for $39,-681.63. $39,-681.63. Since the project started, 331 feet have been added, costing cost-ing about $481. ' in the original contract, it was estimated that 10 trees would have to be removed at so much cost per tree. Up to date, between 40 and 50 trees have been removed. remov-ed. Main street, both sides for a total of 2,091 feet. I On Second South, Main street, west to Fourth West on both sides, 2.716 feet. X street, from Second South, south on both sides for 627 feet. On 225 West street from Second South, Routh for 392 feet. Also Rmall sections on Fourth West. Fifth West. Seventh Se-venth West. Ninth West, and five blocks on First South. Cost of the project Is being financed through assessment of special taxes against the property prop-erty abutting the paving that is laid. |
