Show 1500 People Attend Special Art Exhibit A week-long art show of the paintings of Mrs. Ila McAfee Turner was termed a great success suc-cess by the Cedar City Art Exhibit Ex-hibit committee, with almost 1500 people attending the showing. show-ing. Some purchases of the oils have been made and some are still being contemplated. "Source of the Wind" has been purchased by the Branch Agricultural college, col-lege, and "Getting Acquainted" was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Grover. Another picture is being selected by Mr. and Mrs. Clive Davis. Besides the sale of the pictures pic-tures on display, Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Prestwlch commissioned Mrs. Turner to paint a picture while she was here during the week, of some of the Prestwich horses. She also did a painting for Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith, at the North Fork guest ranch. In talking to members of the Art committee, she expressed her appreciation to the people of Cedar City for their fine response and said she would thoroughly enjoy living In Cedar City, being be-ing so near to many scenic at-tractions. at-tractions.
